Your comment regarding the “gender profile” is right on. However, back then, they were not looking for “dark skinned, Middle Eastern types either.

In 1975 the Secret Service threaat assessment, as they call it, was focused on “a white male between the ages of 20 to 40, foreign born, a loner with delusions of grandeur.

They were not looking for a middle-aged mother and doctors wife.

My next book, which I’ve just started reseaching, is about the big business in the U.S. of recruiting illigal labor into the U.S. This dirty little secret going on behind the scenes of large meat packing and manufacturing companies who advertise in local papers in Mexico and set up “temp” companies to recruit labor for them.

The sad part is that people who come here to work and respond to the ads are treated poorly and isolated from friends and family for support. In many ways they find themselves trapped in poor working conditions and victims of their employers.

As Krammer added, “I was frequently told by current and former Swift workers, these are jobs Americans are willing to do–if they are provided decent wages and working conditions.”

In final deliberations Kammer stated, “We have often heard from farmers in California and Arizona that if they improved wages enough to attract legal labor, Americans would be confronted with the $5 head of lettuce. But agricultural economist Philip Martin destroyed that myth by showing that since fieldworkers’ wages account for only six percent of the retail cost of lettuce and other crops, their wages could rise sharply without a major effect at the checkout counter. Similarly, the labor of meatpacking workers accounts for only seven to nine percent of the retail cost of beef and pork. So if wages were increased by a third, the cost at the grocery story would only rise by three percent, at the most.”

Unequivocally we must recall that when Comprehensive Immigration Reform was passed in 1986, that millions in agriculture and other poorly paid industry labor vanished, to only reappear in the mainstream of the job market, taking jobs from low-skilled blacks, Caucasian and Hispanic workers. Employment normally open to senior citizens, students, single mothers, veterans suddenly disappeared, given as it was to the newcomers. E-VERIFY WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN? E-Verify will not be the whole answer, but random checks by Police using the 287(G) police law, to be trained in immigration rules of apprehension are a strong counterpart? Then a much more streamlined E-Verify will deliver a nationwide commitment of ICE and immigration audits to do random checks on any business. It would keep pariah employers looking over their shoulder for agents of ICE. Popularity has grown with each upgrade of E-Verify and the need for expensive deportation could be a thing of the past? Penalties should not be lenient anymore and those employers, who take the risk of knowingly hiring illegal workers, should be dealt with severely.

I think that every prudent American and legal resident knows that this is the commencing alarm, that a Comprehensive citizenship path is on the way. Whether or not, Democrats have the backbone to do battle over an–AMNESTY FIGHT –with the American legal population, for as with Bush he lost? Sen. Diane Feinstein D-CA in 1986 along with the Board of Supervisors was the first to inaugurate the pro-illegal alien Sanctuary City policy in San Francisco, then the others followed. A new poll by Zogby International has found people across our border believe an amnesty that would grant legal status to illegal immigrants would prompt more people to enter the U.S. illegally, the Center for Immigration Studies (CRS) stated. Another new survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports reveals that 56% of Americans say that federal immigration policies encourage illegal immigration, and 64% believe that local law enforcement should conduct raids in places where illegal aliens gather to find work. Only 19% opposed the raids compared to 24% who opposed such raids back in April.
